In summer 2012, the folks of Travel Supermarket launched their Capture the Colour photo blogging challenge. The idea was simple, publish a blog post showcasing five of your favourite travel photographs which best capture the colour of our five categories: red, blue, green, yellow and white.
The competition proved to be so popular that they’re doing it all again this year! And as I was nominated by Julika from Sateless Suitcase to participate -and the prices are simply amazing- I have no excuse not to enter, right?
My 2013 entry for Capture The Colour
I’ve chosen to theme my images all around the one country that I got to know pretty well over the last years: Australia. I’ve lived here for two years as an expat and when we were not working, we were always busy exploring the beauty of this incredible continent.
Red
During our road trip on the West-Coast, we saw the most amazing red stone formations. This one is in the Karijini National Park, it shows just how ancient this area is.
Blue
Sydney is beautiful. Sydney during Blue Hour is breathtaking.
Green
It’s been scientifically proven one can never get bored looking at koala’s
Yellow
When we arrived in Sydney, bananas were around 20 Dollars per kilo. Good thing I don’t eat them!
White
Cockatoos are everywhere in Australia… We met this one in the Blue Mountains National Park and it made more noise than a fire alarm. Brilliant birds!
